Beginning in May I will be offering a “FREE” athletic training series that includes a focus on speed, agility and core training as well as a football skills training program.
Speed and Agility
The first part of the program is designed to help youth athletes learn proper running mechanics, improve flexibility, strength and balance. Any athlete will benefit from these sessions and they will include fun and competitive games to keep the kids engaged.
QB / RB / WR Skills Camp
The second part of the session will be a training program for players interested in competing for the skilled positions on their football team. Players will coached on the following techniques…
•QBs – Stances, Hand positioning, taking snaps, hand-off mechanics, toss mechanics, run routes, 3 & 5 step drops, bootleg routes, passing mechanics and making reads.
•RBs – Stances, receiving hand-offs, receiving tosses, run route mechanics, toss route mechanics, blocking, reading blocks, making cuts/cutbacks and receiving passes.
•WRs – Stances, receiving techniques, route running, blocking and reading defenders.
Sessions will be conducted on Saturdays and Tuesdays from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Stallings elementary school. Sessions will begin Saturday May 12th and run through Saturday June 16th.
The speed training and condition will be conducted from 6:00PM – 6:45PM and players not interested in the football skills training will be dismissed at that time. The football skills training will be conducted from 6:45PM – 8:00PM.
There is no charge for this training program and it is open to any athlete 13 and under. Please register by clicking on the link attached to this post to reserve a spot in the program today.
